You guys… I’m a hoarder. Not the type whose house needs tunnels to navigate through – but in more of an intangible way. Well, some of it’s physical. i.e. being a total product junky and never being able to find the surface of my vanity. But a lot of it is floating around elsewhere – like screen shots of stuff I’m pining for, bookmarking awesome workouts or delicious recipes, or just literally a clusterfuck of stuff crammed in my memory.
I’m gonna start dishing this stuff out. If you want in on these goodies, simply keep your eyes peeled for the posts that read “noteworthy”. If you get behind, don’t forget you can search by tags on the home page. I’ll link every one of these posts to the noteworthy tag so you can easily pull up the whole inventory. Now let’s check out the first of many of these bad boys.
NYX is quickly becoming one of the hottest cosmetic companies out there, due to their great product with an affordable price tag. I came across this blush on a list of must-haves online…want them all. $10 a pop. Holler at your girl. Click the image to order one now.
I stumbled upon this beautiful image and smoothie recipe when browsing the Whole Foods Instagram account – but it’s originally brought to you by @preventionpantry which is run by Jillian Greaves, a Dietetic Intern out of U of Michigan who landed herself a feature on there. All you need is: 1 cup frozen pineapple, 2 bananas, 2 cups coconut water, juice of 1 lemon, 2 large handfuls of spinach, 2 in. piece of ginger, & 2 tbsp of chia seeds. A perfect blend for an immunity boost if you ask me… knock yourself out.
It’s not exactly a new release but my husband and I just rented this on a “date night” – AKA a night where we send our daughter off to my mother-in-law’s house for a sleepover so that we can order take out, grab a movie, and live like we lived without child for the next 18 hours – and it was so good. It’s “The Nice Guys” starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe, and they were both phenomenal. I mean let’s be real… we all know who we’re really watching here. *ahem, Ryan, ahem* If you haven’t fallen in love with him yet, now is your time. But I mean it when I say they were equally awesome in this film. Husband and I would both venture to say it was our favorite of the year. Click the image to check out the official trailer.
When I was younger, growing up in Ohio, we used to take field trips to this place called Hale Farm. You go and explore a bunch of old buildings, see how a working farm operates, & experience a bunch of period crafts like candle making and blacksmithing. Being on a farm has always been and always will be my idea of a nightmare, but I actually did love witnessing a lot of the crafts there – particularly the glassblowing, pottery and weaving. I am obsessed with the idea of these woven wall hangings. Etsy has an amazing collection of them (hit the link to dive right into my search) – there’s a broad price range but the good sized ones can be pricey. We’re making changes in our house right now so I haven’t pulled the trigger on any yet, but once we get things situated, it’s on.
Have you guys tried this stuff? Chances are you’ve seen it around… I usually pick it up at Whole Foods or Target. As it boasts on its label, this lotion is “Expert crafted from non-gmo and organic plant extracts and scented with pure essential oils to soothe and soften your skin.” It is also certified GF, assures no synthetic fragrances, and is cruelty free. The company, EO Everyone, is a Certified B Corporation. They offer a bunch of other products – soaps, a skincare line, shampoos & conditioners, etc – which I have yet to experiment with, but this lotion is my go-to. It’s like silk melting into your skin. The coconut + lemon is my personal favorite. Oh ya, and you can usually find a nice 32 oz bottle of this stuff for right around $10. Great deal for a great product. Go get you some.
